In The Company of Henry Thoreau
I walk around the pond
and meet him head on
coming toward me –
and we both turn and
with a deep breath
regain our solitude and
walk
the
other
way
and meet him head on
coming toward me –
and we both turn and
with a deep breath
regain our solitude and
walk
the
other
way
Delighted you found my story verse. You can always see the whole thing on the page marked 'As the Whirl Turns'. Since I visited your wordle I thought I'd glance upon another piece. I do like this.
ReplyDeleteSolitude is precious. This also reminds me of a question that pops up every now and then that asks; Who would you like to meet, living or dead. For me that would be family I lost early on. Just to share some (perhaps forgotten) memories.
As for famous... I'll have to think on that as I take a deep breath and walk the other way :)
Oooh thank you Mama Zen (btw terrific moniker!).
ReplyDeleteThanks Jules - (okay steel yourself for what I'm certain is an oft-heard pun) your comments are jewels which sparkle as do this one posted here. :)
