Forever Foreword
there in the alcoves they stand
invisible to one another
each holding maps to their narrow lives
curvaceous, thin, all shaped in lace
invisible to one another
each holding maps to their narrow lives
curvaceous, thin, all shaped in lace
there in the shimmering alcoves they stand
as the waiting web of the future begins to
spin
past flooded eyes rising with the tides
of the future as the past recedes into a
dotted dwindle on a homogenous horizon
there in the funeral flowered alcoves they stand
the same words trembling on lips
waiting to ricochet as they walk as one
onto an endless aisle-warp pulling them
forever forward
