NaPoWriMo DAY 2. A poem about a lie.

Lies in the dark

He lies his back to her
flinching a filamented fraction
as she reaches out to touch
his skin hidden under
Covers pulled up
tight under his mouth
That mouth that hoarsely whispered
Of course I’m happy about the baby
to the dark cold air

  1. Wow. A frigidness lies beneath the pile of blankets.

  2. Really poignant, my friend. Great image and even better message of strained relationship; at least for the moment. Too early to tell yet for him, for them.
