Jaundiced Outlook
She sips wine from crystal
goblets
Nibbles morsels of white
crustacean
Smiles into the low timbre of
his voice
As soft music plays
in the candled-light
She silently calculates
cost in
after hours

A Series of Unlikely
Explanations
That chocolate you see on my
lip
Was but a medicinal slip
As I waited for broccoli
Planned on eating so
healthily
Fell- grabbing a bar to
cushion my hip
years later.....
That woman you see under my hip
Was but a most unfortunate slip
As I waited right here
For you to come home my dear
This frost-bitten lady slid in just for a quick nip
and even years later still....
I did not shift the atmosphere there
Rather I slunk a skunk in on a dare
We were but a funnin
And now here you come gunnin
Blaming me for this malodorous air

In a bun lightly toasted he
lied
kraut gentled atop onions
deep fried
stretched out to the end
as lifted he rounded the bend
called it a day at the gaping
mouth of a friend
