Kaitlin in the rain

Little Kaitlin
skips and sings
in the shining rain
barefoot in the
cool green grass
never home will
she see
again

    I like the vivid imagery tinged with a lit of sadness. They say you can never go home, but I ask "Why not?"

    The thought of a child not being able to go home again makes me a bit sad.

    I appreciate all the positive feedback in regards to my poems at Poetic Asides with Robert. Bless you and your family.
