If and when...

If and when...

In the corner
Of the floor of
My closeted heart
Stay the deactivated
Dreamed dreams
Persuaded during
Some period to be
Folded by degrees
Placed by degrees
And years further back
In the space of dim
Nestled in vision
Tribute to the waiting
“if” and “when”

  1. I like this, Pearl. I understand those 'deactivated dreamed dreams.' But at least they are somehow still accessible, and who knows.....the 'if' and 'when' may sometimes come about. As long as the dreams exist, there is HOPE! Happy Sunday, Pearl.

  16. All is not lost, your brain is a computer and some whiz will find them for you and introduce you to the here and now.

  18. I felt that it could almost be old clothes in the back of the wardrobe. Deactivated dreamed dreams. Yes, quite sad, but life is full of cross roads and we make our choices... A good read.
