Poem 1.
"Mother"
There in your arms
held
under
the
sparkle
of
silver
cushioned
by
soft shoulders
as tears
fall together
as
one
shower
for father
and son
**********
Poem 2.
Velvet cheek
against my
breast
brushing
melting
as though
still
one
grown
gone
longer
longer
longer
than
three months
**********
Poem 3.
Cornflower Blue Eyes
Cornflower Blue Eyes
I had a "bestest" of friends
at that time when one knows no ends
she had flaxen hair
just as in the picture books there
in her room up the stairs
(where we giggled and pondered)
all of the whys and the
wheres
wheres
**********
Poem 4.
Bad Boy
There once was a naughty young boy
Who thought, yes, that I'd be his toy
We sat in dark cars
Right out under the stars
I, and the naughty boy, with whom I did toy
**********
Poem 5. (tanka)
handsome youngest man
sharing that smile in the sun
along with that slump
scintillating scotoma
burnt into retina'd heart
I like your Cornflower Blue Eyes - thanks.
