Nostalgia

Nostalgia

First

To that primal place I follow ...
into the garden of youth – rise in
conflagrated- creation of shadow and
shame – come near – reach - eyes
touching - the base of an other throat
with first kiss –
burst
to flame

  7. I like the idea of eyes 'touching'---it's not a combination of words that we usually read and it gives the reader pause to think about the intimacy of it.

  10. I am absolutely certain that nostalgia praises that moment more than it deserves--and yet, that is where I, too visit first. Beautifully captured.

  15. So much delight in a first kiss...unless, of course, it misses the mark. (I have had both experiences, ha)
