black arm bands
on bare skin 
we knew with
certain hearts 
all was possible

peace is not static
peace is not then
peace is not how
peace is

two hundred thousand more
dressed in finery and hope
marched over the august horizon

ask not what "they want"
ask not what "they need"
there is no "they"

~

above the spinning blue marble
floats shimmered particles
seeking connection in one
Universal heart
