Master Class

Master Class

In the midst of the silent still - in the pause of
buzzing busy - silken as the tip of infant curl
In the midst of the still - in the pause of busy
clinks the crystal pearlescent peal of
a single chime
in a cupped bowl
single silvery drop
echoing
listen
now

  1. It's like the moment before a symphony.. how we notice every little think, preparing to be aware.

  2. In the midst of the still, we at LAST take time to listen. Nicely expressed, Pearl.

  3. To me, this reads like a meditation that reaches deeply into the soul. The sound of the single chime - I love this. I must listen. Thank you.

  4. An impressive use of words in this one, Pearl. I especially like the "clinked-crystal pearlescent peal of single chime".

  5. Interesting... but enlighten my ignorant mind, the theme? So I can re-read it with a better understanding :)

  7. I could almost hear the sound of that chime, that reminder of a time now long past of both joy and sadness.

  8. Oh YES! Moments of real heaven (and perhaps all the rest is, as some tell us, illusion).
